Alex Lange, Kramer Robertson earn preseason All -American honors from Collegiate Baseball – The Advocate

LSU standouts Alex Lange and Kramer Robertson earned the first of what will likely be many accolades for the upcoming season Monday when they were named 2017 preseason All-Americans by Collegiate Baseball.

Lange landed on the first team after going 8-4 with a 3.79 ERA last season. He struck out 125 batters in 111.2 innings, and for his career he is 20-4 with 256 strikeouts in 225.2 innings.

Robertson came into his own after taking over at shortstop early in the 2016 season. He finished the year as a Collegiate Baseball second-team All American after hitting .324 with 39 RBI and 14 stolen bases.

Thirteen Southeastern Conference players were selected as preseason All-Americans, including three of the five first-team starting pitchers.

Florida led all SEC teams with three honorees. South Carolina, Vanderbilt and LSU followed with two apiece.

Louisiana-Lafayette closer Dylan Moore (second team) was the only other player on a Louisiana college baseball roster to earn a preseason All-American nod Monday.
