Delayed LSU baseball opener has new opponent: live updates vs. Army (Game 1) –

With the scheduled Friday opener against Air Force rained out, LSU baseball will open the 2017 season at noon Saturday against a different opponent — Army.

The game will be the first in a split-ticket doubleheader, where ushers will clear the stadium after Game 1.

The second game is scheduled for 4 p.m.

Both games will be limited to 7 innings.

Alex Lange will pitch an estimated 3 to 5 innings in Game 1, and the lineup will include Greg Deichmann in the cleanup spot.
