Aaron Walters, Center Point: senior, catcher — Did not make an out in nine combined plate appearances in District 29-2A wins at Eldorado and Menard, slugging three home runs and driving in seven runs in each game. Texas A&M signee has 10 homers and 27 RBIs for the season and is batting .676.
Clark’s Jakub Rayfield finished a combined 4 for 7 with three extra-base hits, three runs scored and four RBIs in 28-6A wins against O’Connor and Jay, hitting a game-winning double in the ninth inning against O’Connor.
Brackenridge’s Daniel Rodriguez went 6 for 7 with four doubles and six RBIs in 28-5A wins against Burbank and Lanier, also earning the win on the mound while pitching 62/3 innings against Burbank.
Churchill’s Nico O’Donnell allowed one unearned run and three hits while striking out 12 in 72/3 innings pitched against Madison. Also went 3 for 6 with a home run and four RBIs in a pair of 26-6A wins.
