FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Hunter Melton’s two-run blast in extra innings helped the second-ranked Texas A&M baseball team earn a split of the first two games in its Southeastern Conference series against Arkansas on Saturday at Baum Stadium.
Arkansas took the first game 9-5 and scored a run in the bottom of the ninth to force Game 2 into extra innings, but Melton’s 10th home run of the season helped A&M win 11-8 in 11 innings.
