Authorities are still searching for a man who allegedly beat his wife with a baseball bat last year in east Houston.
Jose Guadal Castillo, 52, is wanted in the alleged aggravated assault that occurred about 5:50 a.m. Feb. 21, 2015, at the family home in the 6700 block of Avenue P, according to the Houston Police Department.
Police said Castillo hit his wife several times in the head with aluminum baseball bat. She suffered severe brain damage and was rushed to a nearby hospital.
Castillo left after the attack, speeding away in 2006 Black Jeep Commander with Texas license plate DRC-0397.
Castillo is described as being 5 feet 6 inches tall and he weighs about 240 pounds.
