As we start another week of the “dog days” of summer, Major League Baseball has a light schedule tonight, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t some intriguing games on tap for tonight which also give us some fantasy baseball matchups to target.  As you put together your fantasy baseball lineup, make sure to be aware of the top ten batter vs pitcher matchups which you can find on the following slides.

There are seven games on the schedule tonight with most starting later in the evening including the marquee matchup as the NL West leading Dodgers host the Nationals who continue to battle the Mets in the NL East. In other action, the Royals send newly-acquired ace Johnny Cueto to the mound for his first home start against their division-rival Tigers, and Chris Sale takes the hill for the White Sox against the Angels.

Even with only 14 teams playing, there are still ten batter vs pitcher matchups taking a look at.  You can find all of Fansided’s fantasy baseball coverage including this daily top ten on the fantasy baseball hub where new articles will be posted each day. If you have any questions about our coverage in general or specifically about your lineup, you can find me @FansidedFantasy on Twitter where I’ll be happy to help you out any way that I can.

I choose my batter vs pitcher picks each day based on each batter’s individual history against the probable starting pitcher they are scheduled to face. While past history is always no guarantee of future results, batter vs pitcher history is one of the key factors to consider when picking your lineup whether you are playing in daily fantasy sports or choosing your lineup for the day in your season-long leagues.

If you are looking to try out a daily league fantasy baseball league today, one option to consider is FanDuel where you can find daily competitions for each day of the MLB season. You can get there by clicking the link in the box above or the link at the end of the post. FanDuel is just one of the many sites you can play daily fantasy baseball on, and each format varies a bit based on scoring and roster structure.

Each day, I try my best to include as wide a variety of teams and positions as possible in my batter vs pitcher list.  Today, the field is more limited, so the first few options don’t have numbers good enough to make our regular lists even though they do deserve a top ten spot today.

Let’s get right to the best batter vs pitcher matchups on this limited-schedule Monday.
