Former UConn Soccer Player To Sue After Losing Scholarship For Giving Finger To TV Camera – Hartford Courant

The lawyer for former UConn soccer player Noriana Radwan says she plans to sue the school, alleging that it revoked her scholarship after she gave the finger to a television camera.

Noriana Radwan, who now plays soccer at Hofstra , is scheduled to appear with her lawyer, Greg Tarone, at a press conference Monday morning in Newburgh, N.Y.

Radwan flipped the bird to a ESPNU camera while celebrating her team’s 3-2 victory over the University of South Florida in the AAC championship Nov. 9, 2104.

After the incident, UConn coach Len Tsantiris apologized and said Radwan showed “poor judgment and sportsmanship” and said Radwan would not play in the NCAA tournament.
