Kyle Busch hits wall during practice at Texas – Nascar

Kyle Busch made contact with the Turn 4 wall early in first NASCAR Sprint Cup Series practice Friday at Texas Motor Speedway.

Busch lost control of the Joe Gibbs Racing No. 18 Toyota near the end of his first full lap at speed. The car jumped out of the groove in Turn 4 with a potential tire issue, making significant contact with the right side.

Busch’s team unloaded and began to prep its reserve car for duty ahead of Sunday’s AAA Texas 500 (2 p.m. ET, NBC, PRN, SiriusXM), the eighth event in the 10-race Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup playoffs.

Busch, the defending Sprint Cup champion, is a two-time winner at the 1.5-mile Fort Worth track. He prevailed in the venue’s most recent premier-series race in April.
