Soccer hooligans storm field after team gets relegated, steal player’s jersey – CBSSports.com

Sunday was a disappointing day for Helsingborgs of the Swedish top flight. The team was relegated via a playoff and chaos ensued soon after the match was over. Hooligans invaded the field and stole the jersey of a player and created chaos after the undesirable result. Take a look at what happened Sunday after the 2-1 loss to Halmstads in the second leg, which saw the team fall 3-2 on aggregate.

That’s rough, but not nearly as rough as how the game ended. Jordan Larsson, the player who had his jersey stripped away, scored in the 82nd minute to put Helsingborgs up 1-0. A 1-0 result would’ve pushed them through, but the team conceded in the 87th and 90th minute. That’s a painful way to go down.

Oh, and if Jordan’s last name rings a bell, that’s because he is the son of Henrik Larsson, the Sweden legend who played for Celtic, Barcelona, Manchester United and other European clubs.

Not a proud day for him or the club, which his dad made his name before leaving for Feyenoord in 1993.
