Roger Federer sports new haircut as he returns from two-month absence – Telegraph.co.uk

After more than two months away from tennis, Roger Federer is back – and he’s sporting a new shorter than ever haircut. The cropped do is a far cry from the ponytailed look of his youth, and a departure from the flowing locks that he has sported over the last few years.

The pictures of the Swiss legend are from Stuttgart where he was warming up over the weekend for the Mercedes Cup, which begins on Monday.

Federer has not been seen on a tennis court since April 2 when he announced after winning the Miami Open that he would be skipping most of the clay-court season and would only play the French Open in order to focus on winning an eighth Wimbledon title.

In the event Federer ended up missing the French Open as well, and instead enjoyed a two-month long mid-season sabbatical that included attending Pippa Middleton  and James Matthews’ wedding and the Met Gala in New York.

But now with the grass-court season beginning in earnest this week, Federer is back and looking in fine fettle to win his second grand slam of the year and his 19th overall.
